Weather Eye: Quiet Signs

A print of blues, whites and greys showing fine detailed curving lines, forming a dip, or inverted maountain like shape
Christopher Hagen, Weather Eye: Quiet Signs, 2018, monoprint: intaglio, hand colour, 48 x 64cm image/paper

This work is part of a suite where the artist places himself in a foreign landscape, often surrounded by increasingly unpredictable forces. This image reflects a seemingly calm moment touched by signs of impending upheaval.

This work was created for the Print Council of Australia Print Commission 2018. Established in 1967, the PCA Print Commission offers major promotional and professional development opportunities for selected artists. It also provides a vital source of revenue for the ongoing work of the Print Council of Australia.

About the artist
