The Women’s Art Register have partnered with volunteers from Melbourne University’s Grimwade Centre to embark on a conservation project which will rehouse 8000 photographic slides which form part of the WAR archives. The slides contain images of artists work from the 1970s until the 90s.

Our Victoria Park projector is on the move. Since 2011, the projector has been lighting up the Bob Rose Stand at the former home of the Collingwood Football Club. In 2016, the projector relocated to Peel Street Park in Collingwood for a very popular series of projections over the winter months before returning to the Bob Rose Stand in 2017.

Entries are now open for the 2018 Australian National Brooch show. This exhibition is an initiative of the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria, and will be on display in the Fitzroy library from 6 July to 31 August.

A new mural by Mike Makatron, Andrew Bourke and Bryan Itch has been painted in Clifton Hill. Wilderness on Wellington depicts animals and plants of the Great Forest National park, alongside a tribute to the buildings' former life as a bookshop.
