Cultural Diversity Week is a time to acknowledge the power, influence and stories of Victoria's rich multicultural communities.

In Yarra, nearly 1 in 5 of us speak a language other than English at home and 29% of our residents were born overseas. Our cultural diversity is what makes our city so vibrant and unique - from our multicultural summer festivals to our restaurants, nightlife and arts and cultural events.

The 2023 Cultural Diversity Week theme is Our Past. Our Future: Celebrating and reflecting on the contributions of Victoria's multicultural communities. This theme invites people of all ages and backgrounds to reflect on multicultural Victoria's long history and celebrate its bright future.

Bridges to Harmony

Carlton Harmony Day

Enjoy a fun, family-friendly afternoon including guest speakers, live music, face painting, Somali weaving, Eritrean coffee, arts and crafts activities and more! Presented by Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Network.

Princes Hill Harmony Day

Come down to the beautiful Railway Garden for North Carlton Neighbourhood House’s annual Harmony Day event. Celebrate the diversity of people in our community, their cultures, stories, and contributions, through the age-old vehicles of food and music.
