Leaps and Bounds Music Festival is returning to Yarra for its 11th edition and once again we are offering support to local venues and record stores to contribute to the festival line-up.

Venues and record stores can submit to be part of the festival and receive support from Yarra City Council.

Yarra is home to some of Melbourne’s most iconic live music venues and record stores, catering to a variety of musical genres and tastes.

Leaps and Bounds places the programming power in the hands of those that understand the area the best: local venues.

Spanning four days & nights in 2023, Leaps and Bounds boasts a succession of indoor and outdoor live music shows that bring the City of Yarra to life in the midst of winter.

WHATS ON OFFER FOR VENUES AND RECORD STORES?

Venues will have the opportunity to pitch for up to $1500 in funding for events & gigs that shine a spotlight on diverse musical acts, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTIQA+, culturally diverse, people with a disability, female or all-ages gigs.

Record Stores will be able to pitch for $500 to activate their stores with live music acts during the Winter Spin Record Store party on Saturday 15 July 2023.

Successful venues and record stores will also receive promotional support, including street posters, radio announcements and digital promotions.

Leaps and Bounds: Record Store call-out

We invite record stores within Yarra to submit their expression of interest to be part of Winter Spin on Saturday 15 July 2023 and access up to $500 to assist with programming an in-store event throughout the day. This can go towards in-store performances, DJs, BBQs, and more.
