Bagung Magali Community Room is large modern space within Bargoonga Nganjin which is suitable for events with 50-150 guests. The space has an adjacent commercial kitchen and inbuilt AV equipment and can be divided into two separate breakout spaces.

Audio Visual Systems

• There is a wall-mounted projector and screen to be used for presentations and film screenings
• Laptop computers can be linked to the projector via the HDMI wall input with a HDMI cable
• A USB can be directly linked to the projector via the USB wall input
• The room includes built in stereo speakers for amplified audio playback
• You may schedule a short site visit to do a self-guided dry run of the AV system, should you wish our staff to induct you on the AV system there is an additional charge
• You may choose to hire a Council sound technician, who can setup microphones and assist with equipment setup and operation.

Commercial Kitchen

The kitchen features a commercial gas oven, combination oven, gas salamander, urn, gas griddle, commercial dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer and workbench.

Use of Building

• Bargoonga Nganjin is multi-purpose community hub, which may be used by a range of groups at any given time. At all times, the Hirer and their guests should be respectful of other users of the space, keep noise to a reasonable level and not impede access to communal areas.
• Although this space is located next to the rooftop garden, the rooftop is unable to be hired privately and is open to the public during library opening hours.
• Smoking is prohibited in all internal areas of the venue including the roof top deck area and is only permitted outside on Best Street or St Georges Rd, away from doors and openings to the building.
• This space is permanently booked for our senior citizens group during business hours Tuesdays-Fridays.
• Additional measures may apply for high-risk events in this space, including but not limited to:- a higher bond, compulsory security guards, a valid liquor license, staff with RSAs.
• A swipecard must be collected from reception during business hours to allow access to the venue when the building is closed.
• The furniture must be returned to the default configuration after each booking.
• Please download and read our conditions of hire. 
• You must supply their own cutlery, crockery, glassware and linen.
• You may choose your own caterer; names of recommended caterers can be provided upon request.
• This is not a licensed venue. You must apply for a temporary limited licence if they intend to sell alcohol. If you wish to supply alcohol free of charge or to allow your guests to bring their own alcohol, they must submit a Partysafe form to Victoria Police.

If you are from an organisation, please ensure you register your organisation and book in the organisation’s name.

Not-for-profit groups may be eligible for a discounted rate. You must first contact us on 9205 5555 or info@yarracity.vic.gov.au to get verified for a discounted rate.
