Wirrum by Tyrhys Wilson
Tuesday 28 November 2023 - Sunday 11 February 2024
In this exhibition titled Wirrum, artist Tyrhys Wilson harnesses digital technology as a creative medium to share his stories and connection to culture, community and Country.
This exhibition brings together 15 of Tyrhys’s artworks that draw out diverse aspects of cultural identity. Tyrhys is a storyteller; each of his artworks holds significant meaning. He couples each image with a story that he has written.
Employing digital techniques has become an essential part of his creative process. Bold shapes, bright colours and strong lines are carefully arranged to draw his audience through the exhibition, so that they can follow his journey.
This exhibition has been made possible by The Killara Foundation in partnership with the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions and their Yuma Yirramoi Strategy; as well as the support of Arten Fine Art Printing.
