Melbourne Fringe Festival have made the bold and encouraging decision to set a new date for their 2020 event, scheduled to take place from 12-29 November this year. They’re planning for every contingency to ensure that no matter what form the Melbourne Fringe Festival will need to take come November – in the same room, socially distant or completely virtual – they’ll find ways to celebrate Melbourne’s extraordinary creative expression. In 2021 and beyond, they’ll be back in their October timeslot.

The later dates will help provide the best opportunities and support for artists and Fringe are working on changes to the registration timelines and processes to support artists. Artist registrations will open on 1 June – and further information will be available from melbournefringe.com.au.
