The Yarra Youth Services Artist in Residence program gives early-career artists aged between 20 and 25 years a free studio space to develop their practice in return for encouraging the next generation of young artists.

Applications for interested artists are open now and close on Monday 6 August, 2018.

Successful candidates will take a shared residency in the studio space at Yarra Youth Service’s Block Studios in Fitzroy, free of charge. 

In return, artists will deliver weekly two-hour workshops, supported by Yarra Youth Arts staff, to young people in Yarra for the duration of the residency.

Yarra Youth Services will also work with the Artist in Residence towards exhibiting their work and other creative opportunities during their residency.
