Facilities

Citizens Park is Richmond's largest park and one of the busiest in Yarra.

The oval is used for a range of organised sports and as a destination for people to relax, exercise and walk their dogs.

Personal trainers are welcome to use the oval when not in use for approved sporting events (including training).

Dogs

• Dogs are allowed off-leash in unfenced sporting grounds only when the grounds are not in use for approved sporting events (including training)
• Dogs must be kept on-leash within 10 metres of sporting grounds when they are in use for approved sporting events (including training)
• Dogs are prohibited within playgrounds at any time
• Dogs must be kept on-leash within 10 metres of playground areas.

Accessibility 

Citizens Park is wheelchair accessible and has accessible parking.

Availability

Citizens Park oval is used by a number of community sporting groups and is booked for exclusive use as per the below schedule.

This schedule is subject to change and will be updated regularly to assist the wider community and dog walkers in planning their visits to Citizens Park.

The oval is open for the public to use outside of the hours listed below and lights will remain on until 9pm Monday to Sunday from 1 April to 31 October annually.

Citizens Park may incur repair works from time to time. During these periods sections of the ground will be marked with temporary fencing. Please do not enter, or allow your dog(s) to enter these areas.
