This exhibition by artist Vivian Qiu explores cultural identity and personal transformation through experimental jewellery and art objects made from rice.

Since 2020, Vivian has used rice as a material to reflect on her living experiences in China, Australia, and Sweden. Her work challenges traditional expectations, especially those imposed on women in her hometown, and contrasts the conformity of her upbringing with newfound individuality and self-expression. Through her art, Qiu redefines and rewrites her own story, highlighting the interplay between cultural heritage and personal growth. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their own stories and identities.
