Imagine yourself roaming through the bush... Scurrying across the red earth of the desert... Climbing rocks on the shoreline...

What native animal would you be?

A totem is a spiritual guide an Indigenous Australian has connecting them to Country. Join Kokatha /Mirning musician Bart Willoughby, visual artist Frances Loriente, Wiradjuri soprano Shauntai Batzke and Yvonne Rigney, a Ngarrindjeri/Kokatha dancer, in a series of workshops that culminates in an exhibition and performance with the artists.

Through workshops children will create instruments exploring their totem. Work on a group sculptural totem. Learn traditional dances and create their own movements to explore their chosen totem. They will work together to create lyrics for a totem song and learn to jam on various instruments, combining music and lyrics and melody to create a song.
