Following on from last year’s sold out feminist punk retrospective of Melbourne Music, Rah! Rah! returns - YES! - for a sequel in 2020, looking at where feminism and punk have intersected as an ideology, a practice and a sound over the past four decades in this fine city.

Presented by Sonic aGender and City of Yarra, this 12 hr event across two venues on Sat 9th May brings together different generations of artists, thinkers and collectors for a day time session of talks panels and intimate performances at the Melba Speigeltent, before stepping next door for a dirty rock show at the Tote.

The mega line up features female, femme and non-binary artists from Melbourne’s punk rock scenes, along with surprise renewals and performances from artists who are vital parts of this rad community. First snippets include Baby 8 | The Vovos | Parsnip | Empat Lima  | Jenny McKechnie (Cable Ties) | Mill O'Sullivan (Porpoise Spit) | Marita Fitzgerald (Snodra) | Sylvie Leber (Toxic Shock).
