In full swing
Friday 25 May 2018
Going Down Swinging invites you to swing by for 'In full swing' on Friday 25 May from 6pm to 9pm at the Rokeby Studio's in Collingwood for a night of readings and performances from Fury, Soreti Kadir and Andy Jackson, MC’d by past editor Geoff Lemon.
They are partnering with Melbourne Spoken Word & Poetry Festival to toast the inaugural MSWPF and celebrate Going Down Swinging’s 39-year history of publishing digital, print and audio anthologies and producing special, sold-out live events.
Entry includes one back issue of Going Down Swinging.
There will also be a raffle, so bring your gold coins for a bit of fun. There will be a cash bar to purchase drinks at cheap prices.
The ambitious and curiously elongated Going Down Swinging #38 will be making an appearance at the book stand. There'll also be stacks of hard-to-come-by back issues for you to get your grubby paws into.
Rokeby studios is an 8 minute walk from Collingwood Station or a 10 minute walk from the number 12 and 109 trams.
All ages are welcome and this event is wheelchair accessible.
You must purchase a ticket for this event. Tickets are $15 (not-for-profit).
