Johnston Street Fiesta Celebrates 40 years
Tuesday 09 October 2018
The Johnston Street Fiesta once again brings the vibrant culture, heritage and traditions of the world’s many Spanish speaking nations to the City of Yarra.
This year marks a very special milestone celebrating 4 decades in the precinct. For 40 years, generations of residents and visitors from other parts of the city and state have grown up with this annual cultural institution in the heart of our Spanish precinct.
On the 17th and 18th of November, Fitzroy will once again come alive with colour, music and dance, in a spectacular celebration.
From live bands to traditional and contemporary dance performances, to the famous Sunday street parade, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The sensational culinary offerings are also not to be missed.
Delivery of this popular festival takes considerable effort. Yarra City Council thanks the Hispanic-Latin American Festival and Cultural Association for its ongoing work, passion and dedication to producing this magnificent event.
Yarra City Council is very proud to continue its association with the award winning Johnston Street Fiesta as both its major sponsor and partner, under our triennial Arts & Culture grants.
Disfrute de las celebraciones!
