Jill Orr’s work The Promised Land – Flag is now on display as part of Freshwater/Saltwater, an exhibition at The Gallery at Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre.
Freshwater/Saltwater features contemporary and historical works that highlight how water remains central to identity, and to how and where we live. Artworks reveal the evolving narratives of place and people through connections to water from Aboriginal Australians and first European settlement to the perspectives of contemporary artists in
the present day.
The Promised Land – Flag is part of the City of Yarra’s collection, along with another companion work from the same series.
