CHANGES reveals live music showcase playing times

Next week, the inaugural CHANGES event begins.

Two days of industry-leading talks and two nights of pioneering live music, showcasing at the epicentre of Australia’s Live Music Capital. Taking over Fitzroy and Collingwood’s award-winning venues, CHANGES’ live music program packs over 100 Victorian artists curated in partnership with local labels, agents, and other music organisations to exhibit the bright future of Victorian music. All for just $50.

On the first night, your choices include ex-Perth punks Dianas, RVG and Totally Mild following successful runs at SXSW, the pithy-yet-empathetic rock of Jarrow and Jess Ribeiro, or heartbreak dance from Darcy Baylis. On the second night, it’s the gut-wrenching ballads of Alice Skye and fearless rap of P-Unique, Eilish Gilligan’s cathartic pop, tense post-punk in the form of No Sister, Evelyn Ida Morris coming off the back of their acclaimed self-titled new record, eclectic rave sounds from NULL, the smeared punk glamour of Shrimpwitch, and Corner Award-winning, truth-to-power-speaking trio Cable Ties.

This is just a sliver of the breadth of CHANGES’ live music offering. Full info on playing times and venues can be found at the CHANGES website: changes.melbourne
