Errol Loader is a self-taught artist who has been painting landscapes since 2015.

In this new body of work, he takes inspiration from his local environment; the inner northern suburbs of Fitzroy and Collingwood, as well as the surf coast area of Anglesea, Aireys Inlet and Fairhaven where he spends his summer holidays.

Exploring light, colour and shadow to profound effect, Loader paints these well-known local sites, juxtaposing the beauty of the natural landscape with the clutter and architecture of the urban environment.
