CLIMARTE climate emergency gallery opening and HEAR exhibition

Wednesday 10 November 2021 - Saturday 18 December 2021

CLIMARTE has opened the world's first climate emergency focussed gallery - a new space dedicated to shaping justice-based climate action.

After more than a decade of working at the nexus between the Arts, Science and Civil Society, CLIMARTE are thrilled to open the doors on 10 November.

The new gallery will open with an inaugural exhibition, HEAR, an exhibition of contemporary First Nations art. This work calls for all people to listen to and care for Country. It calls on all of us, as an immediate priority, to hear the voices of Traditional Owners.  HEAR is made possible thanks to an Annual Grant from Yarra Council.

CLIMARTE thanks all participating artists including Peter Waples-Crowe, Deanne Gilson, Professor Brian Martin (courtesy William Mora Galleries), Kent Morris and James Tyler (courtesy Vivien Anderson Gallery).

120 Bridge Road, Richmond
Gallery opening hours: Wednesday to Friday – 12noon to 6pm, Saturday – 1pm to 5pm or by appointment by emailing gallery@climarte.org
