Red Gallery in North Fitzroy is hosting Melbourne’s first ever fully carbon off-set botanical art exhibition titled Talk:Dirty.

Multimodal artists showcase unique interpretations of botanical artwork inspired by their houseplants, exhibited alongside the very houseplants that inspired them.

Conceptual Artist and Curator Elle Rusch Drakos along with Shane Boyd will transform the gallery space into a jungle of indoor houseplants.

Visitors are invited to listen and talk to the plants with the help of cutting edge technology that picks up on the bio-data of the plants.

On the final day of the exhibition, 31 January 2021, the gallery will turn into a pop-up urban nursery, selling all the plants in the exhibition to carbon-offset the show.

Talk:Dirty runs from 20 - 31 January at Red Gallery
