The Johnston Street Fiesta on its 40th anniversary is once again bringing the vibrant culture, heritage and traditions of the world’s many Spanish speaking nations to the City of Yarra from Saturday 17 November to Sunday 18 November.

The fiesta will be open from 12pm to 11.30pm on Saturday and 11am to 9pm on Sunday. The parade starts at 12.30pm on Saturday at Nicholson Street and Johnston Street. 

This year marks a very special milestone celebrating 4 decades in the precinct. For 40 years, generations of residents and visitors from other parts of the city and state have grown up with this annual cultural institution in the heart of our Spanish precinct.

On Saturday 17 November and Sunday 18 November, Fitzroy will once again come alive with colour, music and dance, in a spectacular celebration.

From live bands to traditional and contemporary dance performances, to the famous Sunday street parade, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The sensational culinary offerings are also not to be missed.

Delivery of this popular festival takes considerable effort. We thank the Hispanic-Latin American Festival and Cultural Association for its ongoing work, passion and dedication to producing this magnificent event.
