The Australian National Brooch Show 2018

Friday 06 July 2018 - Friday 31 August 2018

Selection of brooches from The Australian National Brooch Show 2017.

The Australian National Brooch Show is the largest show of its type in Australia. Showcasing a diverse range of media, the exhibition includes imaginative, beautiful and unusual brooches from a variety of artists.

This year marks the 11th anniversary for the Brooch Show, held the Fitzroy Library for the last 10 years. The annual Australian National Brooch Show has grown considerably each year in scope and popularity. The 2018 exhibition features hundreds of brooches from all across Australia, including regional and rural artists.

Based in the City of Yarra, the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria was established in 1938 and is Australia’s oldest contemporary Artist Run Initiative. CAS is run by a team of volunteers who are all professional exhibiting artists.

Join CAS for refreshments at their special 'Try & Buy' event where you can try on and buy the brooches on the day, this upcoming Saturday 7 July, 11am - 1pm.

Open during regular library hours.
