Play On presents another boundary pushing series: be the first in Australia to hear new contemporary classical pieces alongside concert hall masterpieces. Then challenge your expectations with Australia’s most esteemed electronic artists serving up ambitious live electronic and DJ sets.

Set One
London-based Australian mezzo-soprano Lotte Betts-Dean has stunned in performances from New York to Berlin. Now she takes on Collingwood. Fresh off the back of a national tour as a soloist with the prestigious Australian Chamber Orchestra, Lotte has been named the 2018 Associate Artist of the London Southbank Sinfonia. For her Play On debut she will be joined by longtime friends (and Play On alumni), the Penny Quartet. Together they will present a varied and beautiful program for voice and string quartet with Respighi’s sumptuous 1914 lyric poem Il Tramonto (The Sunset) at its heart.
