In Close Proximity VALENCIA is a concert series celebrating inspiration and collaboration in contemporary performance, highlighting music of ground-breaking contemporary composers alongside commissioned works that have been inspired by them.

Featured in this inaugural performance will be the music of New York-based Caroline Shaw. Shaw is a multi-talented musician—vocalist, violinist, composer, and producer—whose accolades including being the youngest recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Music, and collaborations with Kanye West.

Also featured on the night will be new and near-new works by local composers Nikki Edgar and Allison Wright.
