Rock-A-Bye-Baby October

Thursday 05 October 2017

PBS’ Rock-A-Bye-Baby Sessions are for adults and kids alike and feature artists from all genres and cultures. It’s our way of helping breed the next generation of punters in music-mad Melbourne. This is your chance to see a real band without fear of sugary drinks or costumed characters.

Expect this session to be filled with fun as Baby Blue takes the stage. From what began as a solo project for Rhea Caldwell, Baby Blue quickly evolved into a rocking, rollicking four-piece spanning 60’s rock, folk, surf and pop featuring members of CB3, Coastbusters and 19th Century Strongmen. Despite this line-up expansion, Baby Blue’s songs still retain their initial folk backbone – that storytelling, those intimate moments – but have grown to an electrifying roar. Guitarist Fabian Hunter’s joyful and elaborate fretwork complements Caldwell’s ear for melody whilst drummer Nathanael Riley’s and bassman Dave Mudie’s playful beats lock the audience’s hips’n’feet to the swinging groove.

Adults $5, children free. Free entry for the first 50 concession card holders

PBS’ Rock-A-Bye-Baby music sessions welcome noise, encourage crawling and expect dancing!

This project is supported by The City of Yarra through the Annual Grants Program
