Australian National Brooch Show

Thursday 03 August 2017 - Wednesday 27 September 2017

The Australian National Brooch Show is the largest exhibition of its type in Australia. Showcasing a diverse range of media, the exhibition includes imaginative, beautiful and unusual brooches from a variety of artists.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary for the Australian National Brooch Show, run by the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria (CAS) and which has been held at the Fitzroy Library for the last 9 years. The exhibition has grown considerably in scope and popularity each year. The 2017 exhibition features hundreds of brooches from all across Australia, including regional and rural artists.

Based in the City of Yarra, CAS was established in 1938 and is Australia’s oldest contemporary artist-run initiative. CAS is run by a team of volunteers who are all professional exhibiting artists.
