The Memory-Go-Round project was driven by the stories of disabled artists from VALID led by artists Zya Kane and Takashi Takiguchi in partnership with Belgium Avenue House and Yarra City Council. The creative team presented the work of Memory-Go-Round, intended to be a live immersive multisensory performance the team were able to pivot to create a series of short films, presented on zoom accompanied by a sensory pack delivered to audience goers.

$220,000 has been awarded to artists and organisations in our Stimulate creative grants funding. Twenty-eight projects were awarded funding in our recent Stimulate grant round. We received 201 applications and just over 13% of applicants received funding, in what was one of the most competitive grant rounds to date. Over two million dollars in funding was requested.

The North Carlton Railway Community House have been busy with their local community welcoming people safety back to the centre through a community language ‘Welcome Sign Project’. 

The project saw the development of new community welcome signage to be placed at the front entrance to the House. Painting workshops with the local community created a safe, creative and fun way for the local community to come together again.
