Yarra City Council is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from artists to create a new site specific artwork, or to propose an appropriate existing artwork, for exhibition on a heritage plinth in Edinburgh Gardens.
The successful artist will receive a $15,000 commission to create their proposed artwork to be exhibited on the plinth for 18 months from August 2019 until early 2021.

What to Submit
• Completed online EOI form;
• Artistic statement describing the proposed artwork, relevance to the program/site and a brief overview of your practice (up to two A4 pages);
• Images or drawings of the proposed artwork and information about the materials to be used in one document; and
• Two page (maximum) CV – including any relevant links such as your website.
When to Submit
Submissions will open on Monday 4 February and must be received by the recently extended closing date of midnight Sunday 31 March 2019. (Previously Sunday 24 March 2019). Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission within four weeks.
Artists must currently live, study, work or practice in Victoria.
