Seeking a talented Community Arts Officer

The City of Yarra has a proud history in advocacy, arts and culture and community development. Yarra is an incredibly rich and diverse municipality both in terms of its population, built and natural heritage and its dense network of community based agencies.

We are seeking an experienced person to be the Community Arts Officer, responsible for the day to day management of the Community Arts program, supporting and managing a range of projects that have a community based focus, including community festivals and events.

The position requires sound knowledge of community arts practice and an awareness of the diverse range of cultural activities and opportunities which characterise the City of Yarra.  An understanding of cultural and community organisations, cultural networks and funding sources is also required.

Highly developed communication skills, ability to collaborate, project management and budget skills will be needed to deliver an arts and culture program that engages and connects with participants from all backgrounds.
