Victor Rubin

Assembled between 1982 and 2005, Guitar displays Rubin’s passion for mixed media and creating surfaces which become landscapes within themselves.

The image of the guitar has featured in a number of Rubin’s works, on this occasion the artist sees it as a symbol of his generation, the rock generation.

Victor Rubin is a practicing artist in the City of Yarra and exhibiting since 1971. As an established artist his work is highly respected and held in many major collections.

Rubin is represented in all major public collections in Australia including the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Queensland Art Gallery.
