I will be using this residency to further explore how queerness might be connoted through abstract visual language, focussing upon sculptural expressions. I am currently concerned with how to both manifest and perceive a type of queerness that is constituted through formal relations and materials, rather than bodily imagery or didactic signposting, and that is liberated from established tropes of the art-historical category of Queer Art.
